New Year's Eve Party Food: Coundtown Cake

This cake is simple to make and makes a nice centerpiece for your New Year's Eve party table. Make one for your party or just as a treat for the kids as you celebrate the holiday as a family.

What You'll Need:

• One box of cake mix along with the ingredients noted on the box.
• Twp round cake pans.
• One can of chocolate frosting.
• One can of vanilla frosting.
• Small, round, colored candies.
• A tube of gel icing.

Instructions:

1. Prepare the cake mix ingredients as directed on the box.
2. Divide the batter evenly and pour into the round cake pans.
3. Bake according to time and temperature stated in the recipe.
4. Remove from oven and cool.
5. Place one round cake on a plate. Frost with chocolate frosting.
6. Stack the second cake on top of the first. Frost with chocolate frosting.
7. Frost 12 round cookies with vanilla icing.
8. Use the gel icing to write the numbers one through 12 on the cookies.
9. Arrange the cookies on top of the cake like the numbers on a clock.
10. Line up the colored candies to form the clock hands, pointing to midnight.
