How to Make a Scarecrow Cake

Here’s a scarecrow that’s anything but scary. In fact, this sweet guy will have kids flocking to the table to greet him. This dessert can also be the centerpiece at a scarecrow-themed party, or the fun food you bring to your next fall event.

To make a scarecrow cake you will need:

• Cake mix.
• White frosting.
• Bundt cake pan.
• Two waffle bowls.
• Candy corn.
• Shredded wheat cereal.

Instructions:

1. Bake the cake in the bundt pan according to the recipe instructions.
2. Allow cake to cool. Remove it from the pan and frost with the white frosting.
3. Place one waffle bowl, upside down, on the center of the cake.
4. Break up the second waffle bowl into pieces and arrange them around the waffle bowl hat.
5. Arrange several pieces of candy corn to appear as strands of hair (hay) sticking out from beneath the waffle bowl hat.
6. Use two shredded wheat cereal pieces to form the eyes, and a piece of candy corn as the nose.

This hair and face features of this cake can also be made with any candy or edible items of your choice.
