Halloween Party Craft: Witch Hat

Turn an ordinary party hat into a wicked cool witch's hat. This project can be made ahead of time for kids to wear during the event or they can make their own as a party craft.

To make a witch's party hat, you will need:

• A cone-shaped party hat.
• A paper plate.
• Scissors.
• Tape.
• Glue.
• Black crepe paper, cut into squares.
• A strand of orange crepe paper.
• Black or orange ribbon (optional).

Instructions:

1. Cut a hole in the center of the paper plate.
2. Place the party hat on top of the plate, feeding the elastic band through the hole.
3. Secure by taping the inside of the hat to the bottom of the plate.
4. Glue the squares of black crepe paper over the entire hat and plate, in an overlapping pattern.
5. Glue the orange strip around the cone.

Option: Remove the elastic band from the cone hat and replace it with lengths of black or orange ribbon.
