Jennifer kept the food simple, and purposely held the party from 2 to 4 p.m. to avoid expectations of a meal.
"Still, we wanted to offer something hearty, but only in the finger food variety," she says. "A friend of mine made platters of beautiful, gourmet sliders, and we also served the basic chips and dip, fruit, veggies, along with the shortbread cut cookies and the cupcakes."
The idea for the ladybug apples above came from an online recipe database.
"I just did a search under 'ladybug' to see what would pop up," Jennifer says.
She also served a strawberry ice cream punch, along with assorted child and adult beverages.
