When it came time to celebrate their twin daughters' first birthday, Portland, Ore., residents Jennifer and Brad mulled over several party themes.
A ladybug party was a strong contender, since the couple often refers to young Emma and Camille as their "little bugs" and since Jennifer thought red, black and pink would make a good color scheme for their winter birthday.
Finding handmade ladybug bibs and booties for the girls in the Lil' Cubby shop on Etsy sealed the deal, though.
Jennifer found most of her ideas for the party online, although she says she simplified some projects so she wasn't overwhelmed by details. With more than 65 people on the guest list, for example, she came up with an invitation design that was easy to repeat again and again.
