When professional party planner Stephanie Frazier Grimm asked her son, Carter, what theme he wanted for his sixth birthday, she thought the answer would be Star Wars, Batman or Pokeman. To her delight, his answer was baseball.
Stephanie runs Couture Parties, which provides party-planning services to clients in Rhode Island as well as to customers around the globe through supplies she sells online. She put her creative skills to work for her son and came up with a baseball party that was fun for the kids and beautiful for design-minded adults.
"I loved how I made it feel like we were at a ball game," Stephanie said, when asked about her favorite aspect of the party.
And here's a tip from the party pro: hire someone to man the grill. That's what she did "so our guests could get a burger or hot dog whenever they were ready and my husband and I could actually enjoy the party."
