Kid-Friendly New Year's Eve Celebrations

By December 27, 2013

What are you doing New Year's, New Year's Eve?

Well, if you're like me, you'll be spending it in your pj's, trying to keep your eyes open long enough to see the ball drop. Luckily, you'll have the kids next to you on the couch, poking you every time you nod off. Gee, allowing them to stay up until midnight sure seemed like a good idea about 12 hours ago!

At least that has been our New Year's Eve ritual for the past few years. This year, however, we're going to do things a little bit differently. This year we're celebrating early, with a mock countdown at a reasonable hour before bedtime (theirs and mine). We may even invite some friends to gather for some New Year's Eve party games, a light dinner and some fun, kid-friendly ideas for celebrating the New Year.

Do you have any ideas for celebrating New Year's Eve with children? Leave a comment and share your story with other readers.

Happy New Year!
