Christmas Party Games for Kids

Remember those cookies you spent a whole week baking? Well, they're gone. That's right, the kids ate them all, and you're only an hour into your holiday party. And now they're looking for ways to burn off the sugar rush. I think I overheard one of them challenging the rest to a race to the top of the Christmas tree. First one to retrieve the star wins!

Okay, so maybe I exaggerate just a bit. But this scenario doesn't stray very far from what really happens when you gather a group of children together at Christmastime. Take a bundle of excited energy, sprinkle in a dash of candy cane sugar and, well, all I'm saying is it's a good idea to have some active play scheduled into your event.

Fortunately, if you're looking for Christmas party games, the choices available are about as abundant as cookie recipes. We've even got games that are sorted by theme, so if you are hosting a gingerbread party, you can choose one of these gingerbread party games. There are also reindeer party games for fans of Santa's sleigh-pulling team, tree-trimming games for your decorating party and elf-themed games to please your little pals. And if you're looking for ways to celebrate long into the winter, snowman party games are fun for the entire season.

Do you have a favorite holiday party game for kids? Tell us about it in the comments below.
