So all the little ghosts and goblins arrive at your party, chomp on some Halloween treats and dance the Monster Mash - all within the first hour. Now what? I'm sure another hour or two of candy eating would thrill most of your Halloween party guests, but I also suspect their moms might consider toilet-papering your house sometime after midnight.
Halloween party games are probably a better idea for occupying guests, and fortunately, there are plenty of ideas for activities to suit your party's theme, venue and age range.
Want a witch-themed game? How about broom-stick relay races or pin the tail on the black cat? Need to downplay the spooky factor for younger guests? Scarecrow game ideas are cute, festive and far from creepy.
A Halloween parade is another great activity where guests get to show off their costumes. Hold it outside and enlist other parents to stand along the parade route, handing out treats to the participants.
Of course, traditional Halloween activities like pumpkin carving and apple bobbing became traditions for a reason - they are always a good time for guests of all ages.
