My almost 6-year-old daughter has finally, definitively, absolutely settled on a party theme: bowling.
She pinky swears.
I am happy to oblige since we'll be moving from our home three days after the birthday. Throwing a party at an outside venue is just what the doctor ordered this year.
Of course, I still want to find ways to personalize the decorations, favors and other details of the day, so my wheels are turning and my fingers are surfing the Web.

- A great bowling cake from Confetti. I also like her suggestion for handing out matching party shirts to the children as they arrive. She doesn't say this, but it certainly would help parents keep track of all the guests when you're in a public place.
- Speaking of bowling shirts, I love this bowling shirt design from Babadoo Design on Etsy. My birthday girl has long outgrown her onesies, but you could easily adapt the idea to regular shirts. Babadoo has some other wonderful party stuff in its shop, too.
