You've sent the invitations. You've ordered the cake. Now you're looking at the guest list wondering what in the world you're going to do with all those kids in your house (or backyard) for two or three hours.
Has that sort of panic washed over you as your kid's birthday approached?
Young kids are usually pretty content chasing each other around, bouncing on Hippity Hops and hula hooping, but as children reach the elementary school years, you probably should have some activities planned when you host a party.
Maybe you're a pro at organizing the party agenda? What are your favorite games for kids to play at parties?
I've started compiling a list of games with links to instructions on how to play each one. I have several more to write up but would love your input. Leave your ideas here on the blog or make a comment on this reader submission form so we can help other parents plan parties that will keep the kids engaged and active.
Thanks! And, in case you're wondering, that's a rubber duck race pictured above. The first ducky to reach the finish line (with help from a contestant blowing through a drinking straw) wins!
